Reindeer Farm

Today the family headed over to the Reindeer Farm, located southeast of Palmer, at the base of the Bodenburg Butte.

This is our second trip to the Reindeer Farm but the first for the Miners.  There is a lot to do here for the kids and today was a nice day to do it, not cold, no snow or ice.

Some big moose antlers.

Going face-to-face with a baby reindeer.

Face-to-face with a colorful turkey.

Fun for the whole family!

You can feed many of the the animals, which is fun for both kids and adults.  The farm provides a wealth of information about each species. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and constantly interact with visitors, sharing fascinating facts about the animals.

Feeding a Highland Cow.

The farm is home to a variety of animals, including reindeer, alpacas, moose, miniature donkeys, bison, yaks, piglets, and horses.  There is even a reptile house.

The boys had a great time rolling in these giant conduits.

Riding around a field in a towed cart.

The kids loved running and jumping on these giant bales of hay.

I've never been this close to Buffalo before.
